A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
VACATE THE EASEMENT LOCATED ALONG THE DEPARTMENT
OF WATER AND POWER RIGHT-OF-WAY 83-V-2)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
does hereby declare its intention to consider the vacation of that certain
street easement as shown in Exhibit A" attached hereto, and described as:
The Northwesterly 10 feet of that certain strip of land,
120 feet in width, described in deed to the City of
Los Angeles recorded in Book 34632, Page 142, Official
Records of Los Angeles County, bounded Southwesterly by
the Southeasterly prolongation of the Northwesterly line
of Lots 234 to 242 inclusive, of Tract No. 10104, as
per map thereof recorded in Book 142, Pages 62 through 64
of Maps, Records of Los Angeles County, and bounded
Northeasterly by a line which bears at right angles from
the Northwesterly line of said certain strip of land at
a point distant Northeasterly thereon 278 feet from the
said Southeasterly prolongation of said Lots 234 to 242.
SECTION 2. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
hereby elect to proceed under and by virtue of the provisions of Section 8300
et seq of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 3. That the hour of 7:00 PM on the 7th day of September,
1983, is hereby fixed as the time, and the Council Chamber at City Halt,
located at 14403 East Pacific Avenue, City of Baldwin Park, County of
Los Angeles, State of California, is hereby fixed as the place for hearing
a11 persons interested in the proposed vacation as above described.
SECTION 4. That the Director of Community Services shall cause
notice to be posted in the manner set forth in Section 8322 of the Streets
and Highways Code.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution and shall cause the same as to be published or posted in
the manner prescribed by law.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of^gust, 1983.
