HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984 002 CC RESO1984 002 CC RESO(Ììé®RESOLUTION NO. 84-2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA, CONSENTING TO ESTABLISHMENT OF A PORTION OF RAMONA BOULEVARD WITHIN SAID CITY AS A PART OF THE SYSTEM OF HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors did on November 8, 1983 duly adopt a Resolution declaring that portion of Ramona Boulevard from the 605 Freeway to Francisquito Avenue and intersecting streets, within the City of Baldwin Park, to be a part of the System of Highways of the County of Los Angeles, all as provided in Sections 1700 to 1704 inclusive of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and WHEREAS, said Board of Supervisors by said Resolution request this Council to give its consent to allow the County to construct improve- ments and perform appurtenant work within said portion in the City of Baldwin Park described above; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 15101, Class 1 c) of the State Guidelines, the Secretary of Resources designated this type of project as categorically exempt; and NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. Consent to Inclusion in County Highways System. This City Council does hereby consent to the establishment of the portion of Ramona Boulevard from the 605 Freeway to Francisquito Avenue and intersecting streets appurtenant to the construction thereof, within the City of Baldwin Park, as a part of the System of Highways of the County of Los Angeles as provided in Sections 1700 to 1704 inclusive of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. Said consent is for the purpose of constructing improvements and performing appurtenant work as may be necessary by the County of Los Angeles. SECTION 2. Finding of Categorical Exemption. This City Council does hereby find that this project is categorically exempt from the requirement for an Environmental Impact Report pursuant to Class 1 c) of the State of California's Guidelines for Implementation of the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970. SECTION 3. Finding of a Minor Nature. This City Council does hereby find that pursuant to Government Code, Section 65402, b), the aforesaid improvement is for street improvements of a minor nature and that, therefore, the provisions of said Section re- quiring the submission to and report upon said project by the City Planning Agency do not apply. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the same as^o be published or posted in the manner prescribed by law. / APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th da^ of January, 1984.
