HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984 005 CC RESO1984 005 CC RESO(Ììé¢RESOLUTION NO. 84-5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF MERGED AVENUE 84-V-1) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby declare its intention to consider the vacation of that certain street easement as shown in Exhibit A" attached hereto, and described within Exhibit B". SECTION 2. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby elect to proceed under and by virtue of the provisions of Section 8300 et. seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 3. That the hour of 7:00 PM on the 15th day of February, 1984, is hereby fixed as the time, and the Council Chambers at City Halt, located at 14403 East Pacific Avenue, City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California, is hereby fixed as the placed for hearing a11 persons interested in the proposed vacation as above described. SECTION 4. That the Director of Community Services shall cause notice to be posted in the manner set forth in Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall cause the same as to be published or posted in the manner prescribed by law. PARCEL 2 The Easterly 15 feet of the Southerly 47.63 feet of Lot 26 of Valley View Acres, in the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 12 Pages 86 and 87 of Maps in the Office of the Recorder of said County and the Westerly 25 feet of Merced Avenue as shown on said map of Valley View Acres bounded by the Easterly prolongation of the Northerly and Southerly tines of the Easterly 15 feet of the Southerly 47.63 feet of said Lot 26. Excluding therefrom that portion of Merced Avenue described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 25 of said Vat ley View Acres; thence Easterly along the prolongation of the Southerly tine of said Lot 25, 43 feet, more or less, to a point on a curve having a central angle of 104032I35II and a radius of 35.00 feet, said point being the true point of beginning, thence Southeasterly along the arc of said curve 40 feet, more or less, to a point on a tine with a bearing of N74°37'00" E, said point being a point of curvature of last said curve; thence Easterly along said line with said bearing 40 feet, more or less, to a line that is parallel with and distant 15 feet Westerly, measured at right angles, from said Easterly line of Lot 26; thence Northerly along said parallel tine to the Northerly line of said Lot 26; thence Easterly along the prolongation of the Northerly tine of Lot 26, 58 feet, more or less, to the true point of beginning.
