A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING AN AMEND-
MENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE
GENERAL PLAN ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT
4711 & 4717 MAINE AVENUE, 14345, 14347 &
14349 BELLBROOK STREET CASE NO. AGP-61).
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
resolve as follows:
a. That pursuant to the applicable provisions of the
Planning and Zoning Law Section 65300 et seq. of
the Government Code of the State of California),
studies were commenced for the purpose of amending
the Land Use Element of the City's General Plan;
and
b. That the Planning Commission has conducted a noticed
public hearing on the proposed amendment to the said
Land Use Element and environmental analysis, as
hereinafter described; and
c. That the Planning Commission has recommended approval
of said proposed amendment and environmental analysis;
and
d. That the City Council has conducted a noticed public
hearing on said recommendations and has determined
that the public interest requires the approval of
AGP-61 to change the land use classification from GC,
General Commercial to MFR, Multiple Family Residential
on property described as containing approximately 79
acres and located at:
4711 & 4717 Maine Avenue, 14345, 14347, and 14349
BelTbrook Street and shown as Map Book 8543, Page 19,
Parcels 54, 55, 56 and 57 of the Los Angeles County
Assessor.
e. That the change as proposed is consistent with the spirit
and intent of the General Plan; and
f. That the amendment proposed for approval, as above described,
is in the public interest and will promote the general
welfare.
SECTION 2. That the City Council at the time of the public hearing reviewed
and certified the Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact.
SECTION 3. That the amendment to the Land Use Element of the City's General
Plan is approved.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution and shall cause the same to be processed in the
manner required by law.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day ofJ^uary 1984.
