A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
HOUSING ELEMENT AND THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF
THE GENERAL PLAN FOR REVISIONS TO IMPLEMENT
STATE LAW REQUIREMENTS, AND CERTIFICATION OF
THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL
IMPACT. CASE NO. AGP-62).
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.

That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does
resolve as follows:
a. That pursuant to the applicable provisions of the
Planning and Zoning Law Section 65300 et seq. of
the Government Code of the State of California),
studies were commenced for the purpose of amending
the Housing Element and the Land Use Element of the
City's General Plan; and
b. That the Planning Commission has conducted a noticed
public hearing on the proposed amendment to the said
Housing Element, Land Use Element, and environmental
analysis, as hereinafter described, and has recommended
approval of said amendment; and
c. That the City Council has conducted a noticed public
hearing on said amendment and has determined that the
public interest requires the approval of AGP-62; and
d. That the proposed amendment is in accordance with Section
10.6 of the Planning and Zoning Law of the State of
California; and
e. That the proposed amendment is consistent with the
spirit and intent of the General Plan; and
f. That the proposed amendment is in the public interest and
will promote the general welfare.
That the Housing Element be amended as indicated on the
attached document entitled Housing Element of the General
Plan" and dated January, 1984.
That the Land Use Element be amended by the addition of the
following:
1.4 Implementation: Policies and Programs
Policies:
a.
SECTION 4
SECTION 5
13. Permit second dwelling units on deep Single Family
Residential lots to encourage effective utilization
of land."
That the City Council at the time of the public hearing reviewed
and certified the Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact.
That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution and shall cause the same to be processed in the
manner required by law.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of/February 1934.
