HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984 021 CC RESO1984 021 CC RESO(ÌìépRESOLUTION NO. 84-21 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING VOTING PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES, APPOINTING PRECINCT BOARD MEMBERS AND FIXING COMPENSATION FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 10, 1984, HERETOFORE CALLED BY RESOLUTION NO. 83-100 OF THE CITY COUNCIL WHEREAS, a general municipal election to be held on Tuesday, April 10, 1984, has been heretofore called by Resolution No. 83-100, adopted on December 7, 1983; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That for the purpose of holding said regular general municipal election, there shall be and are hereby established 10 voting precincts consisting of consolidations) of the regular election precincts in the City of Baldwin Park established for the holding of state and county elections, as said regular election precincts exist on the date of adoption of this resolution. That the polling places for the respective precincts shall be the places hereinafter designated; and that the persons hereinafter named, being competent and qualified electors and residents of said City are hereby appointed precinct board members of their respective voting precincts and they shall hold said election and make return thereof in the manner provided by law. That the compensation of the persons hereinbefore named as precinct board members is hereby fixed at the sum of $35.00 dollars for each Inspector and $30.00 dollars for each Judge and Clerk for said election. The rental for each of such polling places, where a charge is made, shall be the sum of $25.00 dollars for said election. When required, the compensation of the Custodian of a building shall be $12.00 dollars for said election. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of the Resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute of passage and adoption gherof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.
