A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK ORDERING THE ANNUAL LEVY AND
COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS FOR CERTAIN LAND-
SCAPING AND LIGHTING IN AN EXISTING MAINTENANCE
DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF DIVISION
15, PART 2 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF
THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, FOR FISCAL YEAR 1984-1985
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park did on
the 16th day of May, 1984, adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 83-38
to Provide for Annual Levy and Collection of Assessments for a Citywide
Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance District, which Resolution of Intention
No. 84-38 was duty and legally published in the time, form and manner as
required by law, shown by the Affidavit of Publication of said
Resolution of Intention on file in the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, said City Council having duly received considered
evidence, oral and documentary, concerning the jurisdiction facts in
this proceeding and concerning the necessity for the contemplated work
and the benefits to be derived therefrom, and said City Council having
now acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed assessment.
SECTION 1. It is hereby resolved by the City Council of the
City of Baldwin Park that the report filed by the Engineer is hereby
finally approved; and
SECTION 2. Be it further resolved that the public interest and
convenience requires the levy and collection of assessments for fiscal
year 1984-1985, as set forth and described in said Resolution of Intention
No. 84-38 be done and made; and
SECTION 3. Be it further resolved that the adoption of this
Resolution constitutes the levy of the assessments as set forth in the
Engineer's Report for the fiscal year 1984-1985; and
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution and is hereby authorized and directed to file a certified copy
of the diagram and assessment with the County Auditor of the County of
Los Angeles no later than the third Monday ii-hAugust.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 6th gfey of June 1984.
