HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984 070 CC RESO1984 070 CC RESO(ÌìêŒRESOLUTION NO.84-70 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN CASE NO. AGP-62). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby find and determine as follows: a) That pursuant to the applicable provision of Section 65580 et seq. of the Government Code of the State of California, the City of Baldwin Park submitted its adopted Housing Element to the State Department of Housing and Community Development; and b) That the State Department of Housing and Community Development reviewed the adopted Housing Element and suggested that minor amendments be made so that said Element fully comply with State Law; and c) That said minor amendment has been made as suggested by the State Department of Housing and Community Development; and d) That the Planning Commission has conducted a noticed public hearing on the proposed amendment to said Housing Element, Case No. AGP-62 and environmental analysis, as hereinafter described; and e) That the Planning Commission has recommended approval of said proposed amendment and environmental analysis; and f) That the City Council has conducted a noticed public hearing on said matter and has determined that the public interest requires the approval of Case No. AGP-62 to amend the Housing Element of the General Plan, as follows: That Exhibit 6 be amended to add the Zoning Category column, and that Exhibit 7 and Pages 98 and 99 be amended to delete references to Section 8 new construction and replace it with Tax Exempt Bond Financing; and g) That the proposed amendment is in accordance with Section 65580 et. seq. of the Government Code of the State of California; and h) That the proposed amendment as above described is consistent with the purpose and intent of the General Plan; and i) That the proposed amendment is in the public interest and will promote the general welfare. SECTION 2. That the City Council at the time of the public hearing on the above matter reviewed and considered the proposed Negative Declaration, and comments relating thereto. That the City Council, based upon its public review, does hereby approve the proposed Negative Declaration, since there is no substantial evidence that the project will have a significant effect on the environment. SECTION 3. That the amendment to the Housing Element of the City's General Plan as above described, be, and hereby is approved. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall cause^ie approved Negative Declaration to be filed, and shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th d a y^f/''September 1984.
