HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984 071 CC RESO1984 071 CC RESO(ÌìêˆRESOLUTION NO. 84-71 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN CASE NO.: AGP-65). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby find, determine and declare, as follows: a) That pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Planning Law Section 65300 et, seq. of the Government Code of the State of California), studies were commenced for the purpose of considering an amendment to the Land Use Element of the City's General Plan; and b) That the Planning Commission has conducted a noticed public hearing on the proposed amendment to the said Land Use Element, Case No. AGP-65 and environmental analysis, ashereinafter described; and c) That the Planning Commission has recommended approval of said proposed amendment and environmental analysis; and d) That the City Council has conducted a noticed public hearing on said matter and has determined that the public interest requires the approval of Case No. AGP-65, to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan, as follows: To redesignate 16.^1-acres known as the Puente Merced Redevelopment project Area from Commercial Manufacturing and Multiple Family Residential to General Commercial, hereinafter amendment; and e) That the amendment as proposed is consistent with the purposes and intent of the General Plan; and f) That the proposed amendment, as above described, is in the public interest and will promote the general welfare. SECTION 2. That the City Council at the time of the public hearing on the above matter reviewed and considered the proposed Negative Declaration and comments relating thereto. That the City Council, based upon its public review, does hereby approve the proposed Negative Declaration, since there is no substantial evidence that the project will have a significant effect on the environment. SECTION 3. That the amendment to the Land Use Element of the City's General Plan as above described, be, and hereby is,approved. SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall cause the^pproved Negative Declaration to be filed, and shall certify to the adoption/of this Resolution. APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of Septonb^- 1984.
