HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985 005 CC RESO1985 005 CC RESO;¢f4ç‰RESOLUTION NO. 85-5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN CASE NO.: AGP-69). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby find, determine and declare, as follows: a) That pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Planning Law Section 65300 et seq. of the Government Code of the State of California), studies were commenced for the purpose of considering an amendment to the Land Use Element of the City's General Plan; and b) That the Planning Commission has conducted a noticed public hearing on the proposed amendment to the said Land Use Element, Case No. AGP-69, as hereinafter described; and c) That the Planning Commisison has recommended approval of said proposed amendment; and d) That the City Council has conducted a noticed public hearing on said matter and has determined that the public interest requires the approval of Case No. AGP-69, to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan from Open Space to General Manufacturing, for approximately 22.3 acres, hereafter referred to as amendment." e) That the property to which said amendment to the General Plan relates is described as: Generally as a portion of the southern half of the Delta Project located southerly of the 1-10 Freeway, easterly of the San Gabriel River westerly of the 1-605 Freeway and northerly of the Baldwin Park City Boundary, as shown by Exhibit B" and more specifically described as: That portion of land located within the City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California, bounded as follows: On the east by the westerly right-of-way line of the Interstate 605 Freeway San Gabriel River Freeway, width varies), on the south by the northerly right-of-way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad 100 feet wide), and on the west and north by the southerly right-of-way line of the Los Angeles County Flood Control District width varies) Los Angeles County Assessor's parcel number as it existed on November 16, 1984) 8564 012 907, f) That the amendment as proposed is consistent with the purposes and intent of the General Plan; and g) That the proposed amendment, as above described, is in the public interest and will promote the general welfare. SECTION 2. That the amendment to the Land Use Element of the City's General Plan as above described, be, and hereby is, approved. SECTION 3. That the City clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. APPROVED and ADOPTED this l6th day of January 1985.
