HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986 020 CC RESO1986 020 CC RESO;¢fìúJ RESOLUTION NO. 86-20 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT AND CIRCULATION ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN CASE NO.: AGP-72). THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby find, determine and declare, as follows: a) That pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Planning Law Section 65300 et seq. of the Government Code of the State of California), studies were commenced for the purpose of considering amendments to the Land Use Element and Circulation Element of the City's General Plan; and b) That the Planning Commission has conducted noticed public hearings on the proposed amendments to the said Land Use Element and Circulation Element, Case No. AGP-72, as hereinafter described; and c) That the Planning Commission has recommended approval of said proposed amendments; and d) That the City Council has conducted noticed public hearings on said matters and has determined that the public interest requires the approval of Case No. AGP-72, to amend the Land Use Element and Circulation Element of the General Plan, as shown on Exhibit A", Alternative 2, and adding and/or amending policies as herein described and attached hereto as Exhibit B", and e) That the amendment as proposed is consistent with the purposes and intent of the General Plan; and f) That the proposed amendment, as above described, is in the public interest and will promote the general welfare. SECTION 2. That the amendment to the Land Use Element and Circulation Element of the City's General Plan as above described, be, and hereby is, approved. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4th day of June, 1986. Study the commercial and commercial/manu- facturing opportunities within the San Bernardino Freeway Corridor. 11. Encourage the development of non-polluting industries and avoid manufacturing uses that would be environmentally detrimental to the citizens of Baldwin Park. 13. Promote assemblage of parcels to enhance coranercial and industrial opportunities. b. Action Programs: 1. Adoption of a revised and updated Zoning Ordinance. 2. Evaluate the impacts of future annexation, e.g., the Vaiinda and Ledford areas. 3. Adopt and implement a Central Business District Urban Design Plan. 4.
