A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPOINTING THE
SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS
WHEREAS/ Ellis Sloan Burnett Properties has sub-
mitted a Petition to this City Council for construction of
certain improvements pursuant to the Municipal Improvement
act of 1913, and for the issuance of bonds under the
Improvement Bond Act of 1915 to represent special assessments
to be levied against properties within a proposed assessment
district to be designated as Assessment District 86-1; and
WHEREAS, the public interest and convenience re-
quire the construction of said improvements;
NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Baldwin Park/ California as follows:
SECTION 1. That for all purposes and all require-
ments of Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and
Majority Protest Act of 1931," being Division 4 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, and Notice of
Special Assessment and Foreclosure Procedures," being Division
4.5 of said Streets and Highways Code, and the Improvement Act
of 1911," being Division 7 of said Streets and Highways Code,
and the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913/" being Division 12
of said Streets and Highways Code, and other assessment district
proceedings authorized under the laws of the State of California,
J. Richard Smith, who is the Director of Community Services, is
hereby designated as the Superintendent of Streets and the person
to perform all of the duties required of the Superintendent of
Streets under all of the acts and proceedings above mentioned,
including any duties in connection with any assessment districts
in existence prior to the date of this Resolution.
