A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROV-
ING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CIRCULATION
ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN DELETING
A PORTION OF KENMORE AVENUE BETWEEN
OHIO STREET AND LOS ANGELES STREET,
FUTURE STREET 13 CASE NO. AGP-73,
APPLICANT: LLOYD AND MARGUERITE RIGGS)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park does hereby find, determine and declare/ as follows:
a) That the pursuant to the applicable provisions of the
Planning Law Section 65300 et seq. of the Government
Code of the State of California)/ studies were
commenced for the purpose of considering an amendment
to the Circulation Element of the City's General
Plan; and
b) That the Planning Commission has conducted a noticed
public hearing on the proposed amendment to the said
Circulation Element, Case No. AGP-73 as shown on Ex-
hibit B" and an evironmental analysis, as hereinafter
described; and
c) That the Planning Commission has recommended approval
of said environmental analysis, and proposed amendment;
and
d) That the City Council has conducted a noticed public
hearing on said matter and has determined that the
public interest requires the approval of Case No.
AGP-73 to amend the Circulation Element of the General
Plan, as follows:
Delete a portion of Kenmore Avenue between Ohio Street
and Los Angeles Street Future Street 13) as shown on
Exhibit B"; and
e) That the amendment as proposed is consistent with the
purposes and intent of the General Plan and its goals
and objectives; and
f) That the proposed amendment, as above described, is
in the public interest and will promote the general
welfare.
SECTION 2. That the City Council at the time of the
public hearing on the above matter reviewed and considered the pro-
posed Negative Declaration, That the City Council, based upon its
public review, does hereby approve the proposed Negative Declaration,
since there is no substantial evidence that the project will have a
significant effect on the environment.
SECTION 3. That the amendment to the Circulation Element
of the City's General Plan as above described be, and the same hereby
is approved.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this Resolution and forward a certified copy thereof
to the Secretary of the Planning Commission and to the applicant,
