A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA/
CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE
HOLDING OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION ON TUESDAY MARCH 31, 1987,
FOR THE SUBMISSION OF THE QUESTION OF
FILLING THE VACANCY OR VACANCIES IF
THE RECALL PREVAILS
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the law relating to cities in
the State of California, recall petitions were filed demanding the
recall of Jack B. White, Mayor; and Leo W. King, Councilman; and
Robert H. McNeill, Councilman; and
WHEREAS, the petitions were signed by more than 20 per cent of
the voters of the City of Baldwin Park; and
WHEREAS, if the recall prevails, the question of filling the
vacancy or vacancies by appointment or by special election shall also
appear on the recall ballot; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized and directed by statute
to submit the proposed recall to the voters;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That pursuant to the requirements of the laws of the
State of California relating to general law cities, there is called
and ordered to be held in the City of Baldwin Park, California, on
March 31, 1987, a Special Municipal Election for the purpose of
submitting the question of the recall of Jack B. White, Mayor; and
Leo W. King, Councilman; Robert H, McNeill, Councilman; and the
question of filling the vacancy or vacancies, if the recall prevails,
by appointment or by special election.
Section 2. That on the Ballots to be used at the election, in
addition to any other matters required by law, there shall be printed
substantially the following:
Shall Jack B. White be recalled removed) YES
from the office of Mayor? NO
Shall Leo W. King be recalled removed) YES
from the office of Councilman? NO
Shall Robert H. McNeill be recalled removed) YES
from the office of Councilman? NO
If the recall prevails shall the City Council fill the vacancy or vacancies by appointment or call a special election for that purpose?

SECTION 3. That the ballots to be used at the election shall be
in the form and content as required by law.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk is authorized, instructed and
directed to procure and furnish any and all afficial ballots,
notices, printed matter and all supplies, equipment and paraphernalia
that nay be necessary in order to properly and lawfully conduct the
election.
SECTION 5. That the polls shall be open at seven o'clock a.m.
of the day of the election and shall remain open continuously from
that time until seven o'clock p.m. of the same day when the polls
shall be closed, except as provided in Section 14301 of the Elections
Code of the State of California.
SECTION 6. That in all particulars not recited in this
resolution, the election shall be held and conducted as provided by
law for holding municipals elections.
SECTION 7. That notice of the time and place
election is given and the City Clerk is authorized,
directed to give further ro additional notice of the
time, form and manner as required by law,

adoption of this Resolution and enter it into the book of original
Resolutions.

hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
