HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987 072 CC RESO1987 072 CC RESO(Ìì÷”RESOLUTION 37.72 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROV- ING A PARCEL MAP ALLOWING A TWO-LOT SUBDIVISION FOR INDUSTRIAL PURPOSES AND AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN FOR APPROXIMATLEY 2.0 ACRES OF PROPERTY LOCATED ALONG THE 200 BLOCK OF N. PEREZ PLACE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby find/ determine and declare, as follows; a) That pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Planning Law Section 65300 et seq. of the Govern- ment Code of the State of California), studies were commenced for the purpose of considering an amend- ment to the Land Use Element of the City's General Plan; and b) That the Planning Commission has conducted a noticed public hearing on the proposed amendment to the said Land Use Element, Case No. AGP-7 7 as shown on Exhibit C" and environmental analysis, as here- inafter described; and c) That the Planning Commission has recommended appro- val of said environmental analysis, and proposed amendment; and d) That the City Council has conducted a noticed public hearing on said matter and has determined that the public interest requires the approval of Case No. AGP-77 to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan allowing a change in land use designation from Open Space to General Manufacturing; and e) That the City Council has conducted a noticed public hearing for the proposed parcel map. Case No. PM- 1118 described as a two-lot subdivision for indus- trial purposes as shown on Exhibit D"/ and f) That the amendment and Parcel Map as proposed is consistent with the purposes and intent of the Gen- eral Plan and its goals and obj ectives; and g) That the proposed amendment and Parcel Map, as above described, is in the public interest and will pro- mote the general welfare. SECTION 2. That the City Council at the time of the public hearing on the above matter reviewed and considered the proposed Negative Declaration, and comments relating thereto. That the City Council, based upon its public review, does hereby approve the pro- posed Negative Declaration, since there is no substantial evidence that the project will have a significant effect on the environment. SECTION 3. That the amendment to the Land Use Element of the City's General Plan and Parcel Map as above described be, and hereby is, approved. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and shall forward a certified copy thereof to the Secretary of the Planning Commission and to the applicant.
