HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987 082 CC RESO1987 082 CC RESO(Ìì÷pRESOLUTION NO. 87-82 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ALLOWING CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AGAINST THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park/ DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: SECTION 1. That pursuant to section 37202 of the Government Code/ the Director of Administrative Services does hereby certify to the accuracy of the demands hereinafter referred to and to the availability of funds for payment thereof. That the payroll of the City of Baldwin Park for the period 8/09/87 through 8/22/87 inclusive, has been presented, ratified, and approved in the amount of $225,967.70 SECTION 3. That General Warrants in the total amount of $482,368.77 consituting claims and demands against the City of Baldwin Park, have been presented to the City Council as required by law, and the same hereby approved. MCNEILL/WHITE AND MAYOR KING NOES COUNCILMEN NONE_____________________________________ ABSENT: COUNCILMEN NONE LINDA L. ffiR, CITY CLERK BIB] 37845-U01 1987-U02 082-U02 CC-U02 RESO-U02 LI3-U03 FO2126-U03 FO20370-U03 DO20522-U03 C6-U03 RESO-U03 8/12/2003-U04 ROBIN-U04 1987 082 CC RESO(Ìì÷pRESOLUTION NO. 87-82 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK IN SUPPORT OF THE STATE WATER RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD STAFF RECOMMENDATION REGARDING CLEAN WATER GRANT PROGRAM PRIORITY LIST WHEREAS, the Federal and State Clean Water Grant Program provides funding to assist in the construction of sewage treatment facilities; and WHEREAS, fiscal year 1988 is the last year that grant funds will be available; and WHEREAS/ the State Water Resources Control Board staff has recommended an equitable distribution of the $263 million available such that each large agency would be limited to a maximum of $44 million and small agencies' needs would be met; and WHEREAS/ the State Water Resources Control Board staff has further recommended that the $263 million available be used only for projects providing direct water quality benefits; and WHEREAS, the State Water Resources Control Board staff recommendation would provide the over four million people within the Sanitation Districts with $39 million to help construct 50 million gallons per day of water reclamation plan capacity; and WHEREAS, construction of this proj ect would provide additional reclaimed water for water-short Southern California, as well as diminish the discharge of wastewater to the Pacific Ocean; and WHEREAS, this proj ect will be funded if the recommendation of the State Water Resources Control Board staff is adopted by the State Board; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park supports the recommendation of the State Water Resources Control Board staff. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the State Water Resources Control Board is urged to adopt the staff recommendation. APPROVED AND ADOPTED the second day of September, 1987.
