A RESOLUTION OP THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING ISSUANCE
BY THE BALDWIN PARK REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF $8,225,000 PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF PUENTE-
MERCED REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT 1987 TAX
ALLOCATION REFUNDING BONDS
WHEREAS, the Baldwin Park Redevelopment Agency the
Agency") is a duly constituted public body, corporate and
politic, established pursuant to the Community Redevelopment Law
of the State of California the Law");
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Law, the Agency proposes to
issue its Puente-Merced Redevelopment Project 1987 Tax Allocation
Refunding Bonds the Bonds"), in an aggregate principal amount
of not to exceed $8,225,000, under and pursuant to the provisions
of Part 1 of Division 24 of the Health and Safety Code of the
State of California, as amended the Code") in order to aid in
financing its Puente-Merced Redevelopment Project, namely, for the
purpose of providing funds to refund the Agency's Puente-Merced
Redevelopment Project 1985 Tax Allocation Notes, to establish
reserves for the Bonds and to pay costs of issuance of the Bonds;
WHEREAS, as required by Section 147(f) of the Internal
Revenue Code of 1986, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park
has heretofore called, by notice duly published, a public hearing
on the issuance of the Bonds for such purposes, as such notice is
evidenced by Affidavit of Publication on file with the City Clerk;
WHEREAS, the City has conducted such public hearing
on the issuance of the Bonds and all persons interested have been
heard;
WHEREAS, Section 33640 of the Code requires the Agency
to obtain the approval of the City Council of the City of Baldwin
Park prior to issuance of the Bonds; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approves of said purposes
as being in the public interest of the City of Baldwin park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Baldwin Park, a-s follows:
Section 1. The issuance by the Baldwin park
Redevelopment Agency of $8,225,000 principal amount of its
Puente-Merced Redevelopment Project 1987 Tax Allocation Refunding
Bonds, is hereby approved.
Section 2. This Resolution shall be effective upon
the date of its passage and adoption.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of September, 1987.
