A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
WITHDRAWING ALL TERRITORY LYING WITHIN THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
FROM THE BALDWIN PARK LIGHTING DISTRICT PURSUANT TO THE
PROVISIONS OF SECTION 19290 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS
CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the Baldwin Park Lighting District was formed under the
provisions of Part 4, Division 14 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the above-named lighting district lies within
the boundaries of the City of Baldwin Park;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. Pursuant to Section 19290 of Part 4 of Division 14 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, all that portion of
the Baldwin Park Lighting District lying within the boundaries of the City
of Baldwin Park as they existed on June 1, 1990, is hereby withdrawn
2. All property acquired for the District and all unencumbered
funds on the date of withdrawal, including all taxes levied and collected
by the District in any year in which taxes are levied and collected by the
District shall be divided between the City of Baldwin Park and the
remaining District in proportion to the assessed value of the real
property of the territory so withdrawn arid the portions remaining, in the
manner and method prescribed by Section 19290 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution
and transmit four certified copies of the resolution to the Office of the
Local Agency Format
filings with County and State offices.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of July 1990.
