A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 01-' BALDWIN PARK
WITHDRAWING ALL TERRITORY LYING WITHIN THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
FROM COUNTY LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT 1770
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 5853 OF THE
STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS/ County Lighting Maintenance District 1770 was heretofore
formed by and is under the jurisdiction of the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Los Angeles/ pursuant to the pro*/i:-.i.ons of Chapter 26 of Part 3
of Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California;
and
WHEREAS/ a portion of said district lies within the boundaries of
the City of Baldwin Park;
WHEREAS, the subject territory shall continue to remain a part of
the district for all purposes until exclusion of such territory from the
district is requested by the City; and
WHEREAS/ the City of Baldwin Park desires to withdraw all portions
of said City located within the boundary PS of County Lighting Maintenance
District 1770.
NOW/ THEREFORE/ THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
1. Pursuant to Section 5853 of Chapter 26, Part 3/ Division 7 of
the Streets and Highways Code oE the State of California/ all that portion
of the City of Baldwin Park located within the boundaries of County
Lighting Maintenance District 1770 is hereby withdrawn.
2. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles is hereby
requested to exclude the territory of the City of Baldwin Park from said
District/ and to authorize the distribution and disbursement of all
property/ funds and assets of said District in accordance with the terms
and provisions of Chapter 26/ Part 3/ Division 7 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
3. The City Clerk shall certify to t:he passage of this resolution
and transmit four certified copies of the resolution to the Office of the
Local Agency Formation Commission for further processing and for filings
to be made with the appropriate County and State offices.
