HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991 034 CC RESO1991 034 CC RESO(Ìì¼O URGENCY RESOLUTION NO. 91-34 AN URGENCY RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 90-85 SETTING FEES AND CHARGES FOR ISSUANCE, PROCESSING AND FILING OF VARIOUS CITY SERVICES AND PERMITS WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park charges certain fees for the issuance, processing and filing of various city services and permits as allowed by law; and WHEREAS, the City has performed a study by which it determined the cost of providing said services has increased; and WHEREAS, the City's increased costs are reflected in Exhibit A" attached hereto, and by this reference incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, the City desires to immediately increase the fees it charges so as to avoid an adverse impact on health, safety and welfare within the City as might otherwise occur, in that the City is in a serious budget deficit and if it is unable to fully recover its costs, it may no longer be able to provide the services and permits referenced herein. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That the Fees and Charges for issuing, processing and filing various city services and permits shall be as reflected in the attached Chart of Fees and Charges, marked Exhibit A". SECTION 2. That to the extent any Fees and Charges provided for in Resolution No. 90-85 and all amendments thereto are in conflict herewith, the Fees and Charges provided for herein shall apply. SECTION 3. That the Fees and Charges provided for in this Urgency Resolution shall become effective immediately. SECTION 4. That this Urgency Resolution shall remain in effect for 30 days from the date of its adoption. SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Urgency Resolution and shall cause the same to be processed in the manner required by law. APPROVED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of July 1991.
