A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK ESTABLISHING A NEW UNDERGROUND
FUNDING SOURCE FOR UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT
91-2
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 91-84 a public hearing was
called for November 20, 1991, at the hour of 7:00 P.M., in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall, Baldwin Park, California, to
ascertain whether the public necessity, health, safety, or
welfare required the removal of poles, overhead wires and
associated overhead structures, and the underground installation
of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communication, or
similar or associated service, within those certain areas of the
City of Baldwin Park, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
generally described as Underground Utility District No. 91-2
located generally along Downing Avenue between Ramona Boulevard
and Pacific Avenue; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 91-93 the City Council
established Underground Utility District 91-2 pursuant to Chapter
13.8 of the City of Baldwin Park Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, District 91-2 was established as a Rule 20-B
Project; and
WHEREAS, City has verified with Southern California
Edison Company the availability of Rule 20-A funds which could
be utilized in lieu of funding as previously established through
a Rule 20-B Project; and
WHEREAS, City is desirous of changing the presently
established funding source for Underground Utility District
91-2; and
WHEREAS, the funding source will have no impact on the
completion of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council
of the City of Baldwin Park as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Underground Utility District 91-2
shall be constructed utilizing Rule 20-A funds in lieu of
Rule 20-B funds as previously established.
SECTION 2. That all other findings previously determined
for Underground Utility District 91-2 by Resolution 91-93 are still
true and correct.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on May 20, 1992.
