Home My WebLink About1993 119 CC RESO1993 119 CC RESO(Ìì´¿ RESOLUTION NO. 93-119 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ADOPTING CIVIL PENALTIES FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS WHEREAS, the California State Legislature adopted AB408 Chapter 1244 of Stats. 1992) which decriminalizes parking violations of both State and local codes effective July 1, 1993; and WHEREAS, AB408 authorizes the city to establish the amount of parking fines and specifically sets the amount of the fines for vehicle equipment violations and registration violations; and WHEREAS, AB408 authorizes the City to recover administrative fees, process service fees, fees and collection costs related to civil debt collection, late payment penalties and other related charges; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish civil penalties for parking violations; and WHEREAS, the California State Legislature adopted AB2289 Chapter 785 of Stats. 1992) which set forth specific penalties for violation of disabled parking violations; and WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the amounts set by the Los Angeles County Courts in compliance with the State Legislature for disabled parking violations should be continued by the City. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby adopts the parking violation fee schedule set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference entitled Proposed Parking Violation Penalty Schedule," effective from the date of this Resolution.
