A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK ENDORSING THE{E NEW LOS
ANGELES MARKETING PARTNERSHIP[
WHEREAS, the New Los Angeles Marketing Partnership NLAMP), a coalition of the Los Angeles region's
premier business, government and community leaders, have united in an unprecedented partnership to promote the entire
region's diverse economic and cultural facts; and
WHEREAS, image matters, and the negative images of Los Angeles during the first half of this decade have had
a measurable economic impact on the entire region; and
WHEREAS, NLAMP's mission is to create high-growth and high-wage jobs and opportunities for residents and
business leaders in all of Los Angeles County's 88 cities to create B more business-friendly" climate; and
WHEREAS NLAMP will move to combine the unique financial and cultural resources of the entire region to
strengthen the region 5 economy and expand,and opportunities for all residents; and
WHEREAS cities throughout Los Angeles County have been asked to contribute their Top 10 positive economic
and cultural facts to the NLAMP campaign; and
WHEREAS, NLAMP has launched a Call to Action to encourage government, industry and community leaders
to say something positive about their city and the Los Angeles region to family, friends and workers;
NOW, Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Baldwin Park shall join the New Los Angeles
Partnership in its five-ye& campaigning to communicate the positive facts about the L.A. region to residents and businesses
throughout Southern California and, over time, to the nation; and
BE IT FLIRTHER RESOLVED that the City of Baldwin Park will contribute its positive economic and cultural
facts and other resources to NLAMP in support of this effort to promote the Los Angeles region to industries and
communities throughout the United States to create a vibrant business climate in Los Angeles County
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of November 5.
