HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996 026 CC RESO1996 026 CC RESO(Ìì³ RESOLUTION NO. 96- 26 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK REDESIGNATING THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES AS ThE LOCAL ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK PURSUANT TO SECTION 43200 OF THE PUBLIC RESOURCES CODE. WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles and its incorporated cities were required by Section 66796 of the Government Code to designate a Local Enforcement Agency to carry out the provisions of the Z'berg-Kapiloff Solid Waste Control Act of 1976; and WHEREAS through the adoption of Resolution No.92-4, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park designated the County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services as its Local Enforcement Agency; and WHEREAS, current state law requires local governmental agencies to redesignate a Local Enforcement Agency; and WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services possesses the required capabilities in environmental health and solid waste management to carry out the requirements of the Local Enforcement Agency. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park hereby redesignate the County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services as the designated Local Enforcement Agency for the City of Baldwin Park pursuant to Section 43200 of the Public Resources Code.
