A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA CERTIFYING THE
AVAILABILITY OF LOCAL FUNDS FOR THE REQUIRED
10% LOCAL SHARE FOR A BIKE ROUTE PROJECT
UNDER THE CALTRANS BICYCLE LANE ACCOUNT
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Chapter 8, titled Nonmotorized Transportation, was added to Division I of the Streets and
Highways Code to further develop California's bicycle programs; and
WHEREAS The Bicycle Facilities Unit of the State Department of Transportation Caltrans) is soliciting
applications for funding of projects under the Bicycle Lane Account Program BLA); and
Whereas agencies submitting applications are required to certify, by resolution, the availability
of local funds for the required ten percent 10%) local share of the project cost: and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park is submitting an application for Class II bike routes within the City
at an estimated cost of $55,000; and
WHEREAS, the required ten percent local share of the project cost is $5,500.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK' CALIFORNIA, DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The above recitals are all true and correct and are hereby incorporated herein.
SECTION 2. That funds are available for use as the required ten percent local S are for the City's
application to the Bicycle Lane Account Program.
