RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
APPROVING THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE SIERRA VISTA
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, AMENDMENT NO.1
WHEREAS, the Ba;dwin Park Redevelopment Agency the Agency") has prepared a
Redevelopment Plan Amendment Plan Amendment No.1") to the existing Sierra vista Redevelopment Plan,
and has filed its report on said Plan Amendment with the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park the City
Council"); and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and considered the Negative Declaration for the
Redevelopment Plan Negative Declaration'); and
WHEREASpursuantto notice duly given, the City Council and the Agency have held a full and
fair public hearing on the proposed Redevelopment Plan and Negative Declaration.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. A full and fair public hearing having been held on the Negative Declaration
for the Redevelopment Plan, and the City Council having considered all comments received thereon, said
Negative Declaration is hereby approved as the Negative Declaration for the adoption of the Redevelopment
Plan for the Sierra Vista Redevelopment Project, Amendment No.1.
Section 2. The City Council hereby' finds that the scope of development expected for the
Redevelopment Plan is substantially anticipated in the Baldwin Park General Plan.
Section 3. The City Council hereby' finds that on the basis of its review of the Initial Study
and the comments on the Draft Negative Declaration and Initial Study, that no significant adverse impacts will
result.
Section 4. The City Clerk, in cooperation with the Executive Director of the Agency, is
hereby authorized and directed to file with the County Clerk of the County of Los Angeles, a Notice of
Determination, pursuant to 14 California Code of Regulations Section 15075), along with a de minimis finding
pursuant to California Code of Regulations Section 753.5, if said Redevelopment Plan is approved.
APPROVED, SIGNED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of December, 1997.
