A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.99-
29 APPOINTING A REPRESENTATIVE AND
ALTERNATE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
INDEPENDENT CITIES LEASE FINANCE AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, The City of Baldwin Park is a member of the Independent Cities Lease
Finance Authority; and
WHEREAS, The Joint Powers Agreement creating the Independent Cities Lease
Finance Authority requires that the City Council of each member city appoint a member of
such City Council as a director to represent such member city on the Board of Directors, and
further that the City Council of each member city also appoint an altemate director who shall
have the authority to attend, participate and vote at the meetings of the Board of Directors
when the director is absent, such alternate director shall be a staff person of the member city
which the alternate director represents.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City of Baldwin Park appoints The Honorable City Council
Member Ricardo Pacheco to serve as the City's Director to represent the City on the Board of
Directors of the Independent Cities Lease Finance Authority.
SECTION 2. That the City of Baldwin Park appoints the Interim Finance Director,
Jose Sanchez as the Alternate Director to represent the City on the Board of Directors of the
Independent Cities Lease Finance Authority in the absence of the director designated in
SecUon I above.
SECTION 3. That the individuals designated in Sections 1 and 2 above by this
Council as the City's Director and alternate director to the Independent Cities Lease Finance
Authority are hereby empowered to represent the City's interest, exercise the authority of the
City, and vote on behalf of the City on all matters that come before the Board of Directors of
the Independent Cities Lease Finance Authority.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and this
resolution shall be in full force and effect upon adoption by the City Council.
SECTION 5. That all Resolution or portions thereof, in conflict are hereby repealed.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 15th day of Marc 2000.
