HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002 040 CC RESO2002 040 CC RESO;¢f4£dRESOLUTION NO. 2002-040 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT FOR THE PROPOSED TEEN CENTER AND SKATE PARK APPLICANT: CITY OF BALDWIN PARK; LOCATION: CENTRAL PARK WEST. 15010 BADILLO STREET) WHEREAS, approximately 5% of the City's population is between the ages of 14 and 19; and WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park desires to provide *age specific' amenities to the Teen Population' of the City; WHEREAS, Central Park West is an under utilized park within the City; and WHEREAS, Central Park West has under-developed land available which could accommodate an 8,000 square foot Teen Center and 12,000 square foot Skate Park; and THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby find. determine, and declare as follows: a) That the request for approval of the Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact to facilitate the construction of an 8.000 square foot teen Center and 12,000 Skate Park was made by the City of Baldwin Park; and b) That the proposed Teen Center and Skate Park be constructed on certain real property located at 15010 Badillo Street in the City of Baldwin Park, described more particularly in the Applications on file with the Planning Division; and c) That a duly noticed public hearing was held on said Negative Declaration by the City Council, and based upon evidence presented including applicable staff reports and each member of the Council being familiar with the property, project, and initial study, it was determined that the Negative Declaration be approved by the City Council; and BIB] 37641-U01 2002-U02 040-U02 CC-U02 RESO-U02 LI3-U03 FO8417-U03 FO8678-U03 DO9039-U03 C6-U03 RESO-U03 1/20/2003-U04 ROBIN-U04 2002 040 CC RESO;¢f4£dResolution 2002-040 Page 2 SECTION 2. That the City Council at the time of the public hearing on the above matter reviewed and considered the Negative Declaration of Environmental Impact and determined that the proposed project will not have a significant impact on the environment. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and forward a copy hereof to the Secretary of the Planning Commission.
