A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL
OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE CALIFORNIA
POLLUTION CONTROL FINANCING AUTHORITY
SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS. The California Pollution Control Financing Authority is implementing
the Sustainable Communities Grant and Loan Program SCGL) to assist cities and
counties to develop and implement sustainabte development growth policies, programs
and projects; and
WHEREAS. Sustainable Communities Grant and Loan Program may fund
specific plans, portions of specific plans, alternative transportation studies, finance
plans, redevelopment plans, engineering studies, public projects and other projects that
promote sustainable development principles; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to submit a grant application to the
California Pollution Control Financing Authority.
NOW THEREFORE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council approves the filing of an application for developing
and implementing policies, programs and projects that reduce pollution hazards and the
degradation of the environment.
SECTION 2. The City Council certifies that Grantee understands the assurances
and certification in the application form; and
SECTION 3. The City Council appoints the Chief Executive Officer or his/her
designee to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including, but
not limited to applications, agreements, payment requests and so on. which may be
necessary for the completion of the aforementioned project(s);
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution
and shall forward a copy of this Resolution to the Chief Executive Officer or his/her
designee.
