A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK. CALIFORNIA, CERTIFYING BALLOTING
RESULTS AND CONFIRMING THE ASSESSMENTS
APPROVED BY THE VOTERS OF THE CITYWIDE PARK
MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park on May 1. 2002 adopted
Resolution 2002-045 stating its intention to conduct an election to increase assessments
within the district and authorized the City cterk to mail a ballot and notice of assessment
to property owners in accordance with the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting
Act Streets and Highways Code 22500et seq.) and the provisions of Article XIIID of the
State Constitution.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park does resolve as follows:
1; The canvas of votes cast by the property owners is completed and certified by
the City Clerk, and the votes cast were as follows:
a. Total Ballots Processed: 4,916
b. Total Assessment Amount of Ballots Processed: $386,356.52
c. Total Ballots Processed in Favor of the Proposed Assessment: 715
d. Assessment Amount of Ballots in Favor of Proposed Assessment:
$45,991.56
e. Total Ballots Processed in Opposition to the Proposed Assessment: 4.201
f. Assessment Amount of Ballots in Opposition to Proposed Assessment:
$340.364.96
2. Therefore, as determined by the ballots cast as weighted according to the
amount of assessment owed by each parcel a majority of the property owners
voted in opposition of the proposed increase in assessment.

3. The assessments as set forth in the Engineer's Report for City of Baldwin Park
Crtywide Park Maintenance Assessment District are hereby confirmed and shall
be levied upon real property within the Crty of Baldwin Park for fiscal year 2002-
03.
