CALIFORNIA, SETTING RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL REFUSE RATES WHEREAS, the collection and disposal of refuse is a matter requiring control and regulation by the City, in order to protect the public peace, health, safety and general welfare; and WHEREAS, in order to protect the public peace, health, safety and general welfare, the City has entered into a franchise agreement for the provision of refuse collection and disposal services with Waste Management of the Pomona/San Gabriel Valley dated January 1, 1990 Agreement"); and WHEREAS, said Agreement provides for annual adjustments in the fees charged for refuse collection and disposal services; WHEREAS, the City Council desires to set the respective fees charged for refuse collection; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby resolve as follows: Section 1.
