RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK CITY
COUNCIL EXPRESSING SUPPORT AND APPROVING
THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR A
CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC OTS) SAFETY
GRANT FOR FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2005.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the National Highway Safety Act and the Transportation Equity Act
for the 21st Century will provide funds to the State of California for grants to eligible
applicants; and
WHEREAS, the California Office of Traffic Safety is delegated the responsibility
to set up procedures to distribute federal funding apportioned to California for the
National Highway Safety Act and the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Office of Traffic Safety
requires a resolution from the City Council of the applicant expressing support for the
project with submission of said application to the California Office of Traffic Safety, and
WHEREAS, the applicant, if successful, will enter into a contract with the State of
California Office of Traffic Safety for the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park hereby:
1. Expresses support for the project; and
2. Consents to the project and accepts the work, goods, or services provided
through the project, and
3. Approves the filing of an application for the California Office of Traffic Safety
Grant for Federal Fiscal Year 2005, and
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of January, 2004.
