A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING AND
ADOPTING AN ALL-HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN
FOR THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK.
WHEREAS, In October 2000 Public Law 106-390 was signed which amended
the Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act Stafford Act): and
WHEREAS, the amendment provides for new and revitalized approaches to pre-
disaster mitigation planning; and
WHEREAS, the amended Stafford Act required that local governments prepare
a local hazard mitigation plan; and
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby find.
determine, and declare as follows:
a) That the City of Baldwin Park has prepared an All-Hazard
Mitigation Plan for the City of Baldwin Park; and
b) That the All-Hazard Mitigation Plan contains the following in
accordance with the amended Stafford Act:
1) A hazard vulnerability analysis; and
2) Prioritization of hazards for mitigation activities; and
3) Hazard mitigation strategy goals and objectives; and
4) City-wide efforts and plan input; and
5) Coordination with local interest groups and citizens;
and
6) Proposed strategies and actions to reduce short and
long term vulnerability to the identified hazards as
recommended by the Steering Team, its
subcommittees and the general public; and
7) Methods for implementing, monitoring, evaluating
and updating this Plan; and

8) Constraints to implementing the Plans strategies and
recommendations; and
9) The establishment of the Steering team to assist in
the further development, prioritization and
implementation of the recommended Hazard
mitigation strategies.
SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby approves and adopts the City of
Baldwin Park's All-Hazard Mitigation Plan as on file in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and
forward a copy hereof to the Planning Division.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of March, 2005.
