A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING AN INCREASE TO THE CITY'S FIXED
ROUTE BUS FARE
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to approve an increase to the fixed route bus fare;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to implement annual incremental increases to the
fixed route bus fare in the amount of $.25 for fiscal year 2005-2006 and $.10 each fiscal year
thereafter until said amount reaches a fare of $1.00.
WHEREAS, the increase of this fare is necessary in order to be able to offset the
operating cost of the bus transit service.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The amount of fare for the fixed route is increased to $.50, which will
become effective upon the termination of a 30 calendar day notice to the public Exhibit A").
SECTION 2. That effectively every July 1St, an increase of $.10 will become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. That annual incremental increases will take effect until such time that the
fare reaches the amount of $1.00
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
Resolution and enter it into the book of original Resolutions.
