RESOLUTION NO. 2006-002
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF
PUBLIC WORKS TO APPLY AND MANAGE THE SB 1346
RUBBERIZED ASPHALT CONCRETE GRANT PROGRAM
TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA INTEGRATED WASTE
MANAGEMENT BOARD
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, California, does hereby resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, Public Resources Code Section PRC) 42872.5, allows the California
Integrated Waste Management Board CIWMB) to award grants to public entities for
funding of public works projects that use RAC; and
WHEREAS, the CIWMB has been delegated the responsibility for the
administration of the RAC grant program, setting up necessary procedures governing
application by local governments and their subdivisions under the program; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the CIWMB require the applicant to
certify, by resolution, approval of the application before submission of said application to
the State; and
WHEREAS, if awarded a grant, the applicant will enter into an agreement with the
State of California for development of the project;

NOW THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park authorizes the submittal of
an application to the CIWMB for a SB 1346 Rubberized Asphalt Concrete Grant.
Section 2. The Director of Public Works and his/her designee is hereby
authorized and empowered to execute in the name of the City of Baldwin Park, all
necessary applications, contracts, agreements, amendments and payment requests hereto
for the purposes of securing grant funds and to implement and carry out the purposes
specified in the grant application.
