A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK APPOINTING REPRESENTATIVES AND
ALTERNATES AS OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
CITY TO THE SAN GABRIEL VALLEY COUNCIL OF
GOVERNMENTS SGVCOG)
The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park, California, does hereby resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, on December 21, 2005, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2006-
093 appointing members to represent the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments
SGGCOG"; namely, Mayor Pro Tern David Olivas as Representative and Anthony J.
Bejarano as the Alternate; and
WHEREAS, on September 20, 2006, the San Gabriel Valley Council of
Governments SGVCOG) unanimously voted to Establish a SGVCOG I-10/1-605
Interchange Task Force to establish a plan of action the traffic congestion and safety
hazard caused by the current configuration of the I-10/I 05 interchange; and
WHEREAS, the San Gabriel Valley's central interchange, all SGVCOG member
cities along the I-10 are being invited to participate o the Task Force; specifically, the
Cities of Rosemead, El Monte, City of Industry, Baldwin Park, Covina, San Dimas,
Pomona and Claremont; and
WHEREAS, the SGVCOG has requested the city to appoint either the SGVCOG
delegate or alternate from the city to participate on the Task Force; and
WHEREAS, at its meeting of October 4, 200, the City Council of the City of
Baldwin Park requested to appoint Councilmember Marten Garcia as the alternate
representative to the SGVCOG, and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Marten Garcia was ominated to represent the city on
the newly established SGVCOG I-10/1-605 Interchange Task Force Committee.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby appoint the
following persons as representative and alternate embers of San Gabriel Valley
Council of Governments 3'd Thursday, 6:00 p.m., various locations
Existing Appointees New Appointees
Representative: Councilmember Olivas Ma or Pro Tom Olivas
Representative: Councilmember Beiarano Councilmember Garcia
Section 2. That all Resolutions inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed and
rescinded.

Section 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and
shall forward copies hereof to the SGVCOG.
