RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA EXPRESSING
SUPPORT AND APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
GRANT FUNDING FOR A CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF
TRAFFIC SAFETY OTS) GRANT FOR FEDERAL FISCAL
YEAR 2007
WHEREAS, the National Safety Act and the Transportation Equity Act for the 21St
Century will provide funds to the State of California for grants to eligible applicants; and
WHEREAS, the California Office of Traffic Safety is delegated the responsibility
to set up procedures to distribute federal funding apportioned to California for the
National Highway Safety Act and the Transportation Equity Act for the 21 st Century; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Office of Traffic Safety
require a resolution from the City Council of the applicant expressing support for the
project with submission of said application to California Office of Traffic Safety; and
WHEREAS, the applicant, if successful will enter into a contract with the State of
California Office of Traffic Safety for the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Express support for the project; and
Section 2. Consent to the project and accepts the work, goods, or services
provided through the project, and
Section 3. Approve the filing of an application for the California Office of Traffic
Safety for the Federal Fiscal Year 2007; and
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution and
shall cause the same to be processed in the manner required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 7th day of February, 2007.
