HomeMy WebLinkAbout2008 005 CC RESO2008 005 CC RESOHÄ—@¸— Í Í«RESOLUTION NO. 2008-005 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK AMENDING RESOLUTION 2006-050 A BASIC SALARY PLAN FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK TO AMEND THE BASE SALARY PLAN FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK TO INCLUDE CLASSIFIED MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES MEA); CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES; GENERAL UNIT OF CLERICAL EMPLOYEES; PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL EMPLOYEES PTEA); THE BALDWIN PARK POLICE OFFICERS EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION POA); AND THE BALDWIN PARK POLICE MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION PMEA) BASE SALARY ADJUSTMENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RESPECTIVE MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2007; APPLY CALIFORNIA MINIMUM WAGE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2008; AND THE RESPECTIVE SALARY INCREASES TO THE PART- TIME AND TEMPORARY EMPLOYEES' HOURLY RATE AND ADJUSTMENTS TO THE AQUATICS DIVISION PERSONNEL EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2008; AND RECREATIONAL LEADER CLASSIFICATIONS SERIES EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2008 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1. Effective July 1, 2007, the base salary range, which does not include the employer paid member contribution to retirement for each employee classification is hereby the salary range set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto. 2. That Exhibit A consists of the following: SECTION 1. General Employees Classification, Steps and Salaries Effective July 1, 2007 the base salary range which does not include the employer paid contribution to retirement for the General Clerical Unit Employees is hereby the salary range set forth in Section 1 of Exhibit A attached hereto. SECTION 2. Confidential Employees Classification, Steps, and Salaries Effective July 1, 2007 the base salary range which does not include the employer paid contribution to retirement for the Confidential Employees is hereby the salary range set forth in Section 2 of Exhibit A attached hereto. SECTION 3. Professional and Technical Employees Classification, Steps, and Salaries. Effective July 1, 2007 the base salary range which does not include the employer paid contribution to retirement for the Professional and Technical Employees is hereby the salary range set forth in Section 3 of Exhibit A attached hereto. SECTION 4. Police Sworn and Non-sworn Employees Classification, Steps, and Salaries. Effective July 1, 2007 the base salary range which does not include the employer and employee paid contribution to retirement for the Police Sworn and Non- sworn Employees is hereby the salary range set forth in Section 4 of Exhibit A attached hereto. SECTION 5. Police Management Employees Classification, Steps, and Salaries. SECTION 6. Management Employees Classification, Steps, and Salaries Effective July 1, 2007, the base salary range which does not include the employer paid member contribution to retirement for the Classified Management Employees is hereby the salary range set forth in section 6 of Exhibit A attached hereto. SECTION 6a. Management Employees Fixed Rate Positions Effective November 7, 2007, the base salary range which does not include the employer paid member contribution to retirement for the Human Resources Manager classification is hereby the fixed salary set forth in section 6 of Exhibit A attached hereto. SECTION 6b. Management Employees Fixed Rate Positions Effective September 4, 2007, the base salary range which does not include the employer paid member contribution to retirement for the Community Development Manager classification is hereby the fixed salary set forth in section 6 of Exhibit A attached hereto. SECTION 7. Executive Employees Classification, Steps, and Salaries Effective July 1, 2007, the base salary range which does not include the employer paid member contribution to retirement for the Executive Employees is hereby the salary range set forth in section 7 of Exhibit A attached hereto. SECTION 7a. Executive Employees Classification, Fixed Rate, and Salaries Effective January 1, 2008, the base salary range which does not include the employer paid member contribution to retirement for the Chief Executive Officer classification is hereby the salary range set forth in Section 7 of Exhibit A, attached hereto. SECTION 7b. Executive Employees Classification, Fixed Rate, and Salaries Effective May 8, 2008 the base salary range which does not include the employer paid member contribution to retirement for the Chief of Police classification is hereby the salary range set forth in Section 7 of Exhibit A, attached hereto. SECTION 7c. Executive Employees Classification, Fixed Rate, and Salaries Effective September 1, 2007, the base salary range which does not include the employer paid member contribution to retirement for the Director of Recreation & Community Services classification is hereby the salary range set forth in Section 7 of Exhibit A, attached hereto. SECTION 7d. Executive Employees Classification, Fixed Rate, and Salaries Effective November 5, 2007, the base salary range which does not include the employer paid member contribution to retirement for the Director of Public Works classification is hereby the salary range set forth in Section 7 of Exhibit A, attached hereto. Part-time/Temporary employees Effective January 1, 2008, the salary range for each part-time/temporary employee classification is hereby the salary range set forth in Section 8 of Exhibit A, attached hereto. SECTION 8a. Part-time/Temporary employees Effective June 1, 2008 the salary range for the Aquatic division part-time employee classifications is hereby the salary range set forth in Section 8a of Exhibit A, attached hereto. SECTION 8b. Part-time/Temporary employees Effective July 1, 2008 the salary range for the Recreation Leader classification series for part time employees is hereby the salary range set forth in Section 8b of Exhibit A, attached hereto. SECTION 9. Fixed Rate Positions Effective December 5, 2007, the salary range for each fixed rate position is hereby fixed by the salary set forth in Section 9 of Exhibit A, attached hereto. SECTION 10. That the appropriate Memorandums of Understanding for employees represented by the Baldwin Park Professional and Technical Employees' Association for the period of July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008, the Classified Confidential Employees' Association for the period of July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008, the Classified Management Employees' Association for the period of July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008, the Baldwin Park Police Management Employees Association for the period of July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008, the Baldwin Park Police Association is hereby effective for the period of July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008, and the appropriate Memorandum of Understanding for employees represented by S.E.I.U., Local 721 General Unit of Maintenance Employee for the period of July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008, are hereby effective. 3. That all Resolutions or portions thereof in conflict hereby are hereby repealed. 4. That the City Clerk shall forward a copy of this resolution to the Human Resources Manager and certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
