A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK ESTABLISHING CERTAIN FEES
FOR POLICE RELATED SERVICES FOR THE
PROCESSING AND TEMPORARY HOUSING OF
ARRESTEES
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park does not have an established booking fee
for arrestees who are processed and temporarily confined in the Baldwin Park Police
Department Jail; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to establish and institute a cost
recovery program for the processing and temporary housing of arrestees.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The processing Steps and Time for processing and booking of an
inmate to establish booking fees and the time and motion study rates for the booking
process shall be in accordance with the attached Schedule of Fees and Charges,
attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A.'
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of the Resolution
and shall cause the same to be processed in the manner required by law.

Accept and record Booking packet
Locate and attach all applicable teletypes to the packet
Process Booking packet into the original case file

Steps Involved in the Booking Process:
Complete an arrestee transmittal form
Perform a complete search of the arrestee and remove all property
Remove arrestee's handcuffs and perform a secondary search
Inventory all arrestee's property and seal in a plastic bag
Run and print arrestee for wants or warrants
Run and print arrestee's DMV record
Run and print arrestee's criminal history
Complete an arrestee medical form
Complete an arrestee classification form
Book arrestee into the Los Angeles County booking system
Book arrestee in the Baldwin Park in house booking system Spillman)
Fingerprint arrestee and submit to DOJ
Print out all forms and have arrestee sign booking sheets
