A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BALDWIN PARK APPROVING THE MODIFICATION
OF THE GENERAL PLAN FEE AND IMPLEMENTING A
TECHNOLOGY FEE
WHEREAS, Resolution 2008-023 generally sets forth the costs for the
issuing and processing and filing of various City services and permits; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to revise the fee schedules relating
to those Planning Division entitlement application fees charged to recover costs
incurred by the City for the preparation, modification and implementation of the
General Plan, as set forth in Resolutions 2001-054, 2002-007, 2004-049; and
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. On the effective date described in Section 4, below, the
fees paid by an applicant to assist the City in recovering costs related to new
technology and the City's General Plan preparation, modification and implementation
when that applicant seeks any entitlement permit shall be in accordance with the
attached General Plan Fee Formula, attached hereto and incorporated herein as
Exhibit A;' and
Section 2. On the effective date described in Section 4, below, the fee
schedules set forth in Exhibit A' shall supercede the fee schedules provided in
Resolutions 2001-054, 2002-007, 2004-049 and 2008-023 regarding costs related to
the City's General Plan preparation, modification and implementation; and
Section 3. All fees set forth in Resolutions 2001-054, 2002-007, 2004-
049, 2008-023 not in conflict with those established by this Resolution shall remain in
full force and effect; and
Section 4. The fees established in Exhibit A' shall become effective
sixty 60) days after the effective date of this Resolution; provided, that if the fees
established by Exhibit A' result in a lower fee to the applicant to cover the City's costs
related to new technological permitting software and the City's preparation,
modification and implementation of the General Plan, then the effective date of that
lower fee shall be June 17, 2009; and
Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of the
Resolution and shall cause the same to be processed in the manner required by law.
