A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK
EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR AND
APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
AND RECEIPT OF THE CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGE CONTROL MINI-GRANT
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control
will provide funds through the Department's Mini-Grant Program to local governments to
support law enforcement operations targeting the sale of alcoholic beverages to
persons under the age of 21; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baldwin Park has been selected as a recipient of Mini-
Grant Program funds to support these operations through the year 2010; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on this matter on April 7, 2010
to hear all comments from the public and to consider the matter; and
WHEREAS, as a recipient city, the City of Baldwin Park will enter into a contract
with the State of California, Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, for the grant.;
and
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby
resolve as follows:
Section 1. Expresses support for the grant project.
Section 2. Consents to the project and accepts the work, goods or services
provided through the project.
Section 3. Approves receipt of the grant program funds.
Section 4. Authorizes the Chief of Police or her designee to sign any and all
documents necessary for the grant, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
