AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK AMENDING CHAPTER 73 OF THE
BALDWIN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO SPEED
LIMITS ON CERTAIN STREETS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park desires to maintain the
highest level of traffic safety on city streets; and
WHEREAS,the City Council has previously authorized the establishment of Chapter
73 of the Baldwin Park Municipal Code to establish and therefore enable the legal
enforcement of speed limits on city streets; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, from time to time as set forth by the rules and
regulations of the State, re-established or revises the speed limits as may be necessary for
the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Baldwin Park does hereby
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The Baldwin Park Municipal Code, Chapter 73, is hereby amended by
replacing Schedule I I -Speed Limits- in its entirety,with the Schedule shown in Exhibit"A"

SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall
have it published in accordance with the provisions of state law.
