The City Council of the City of Baldwin Park met as required by Section 9918 of the Elections Code, State of California, at the above time and place. Mayor Littlejohn led the Salute to the Flag. Flag Salute. ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmen Bloxham, Cole, Duskin and Roll Call. Littlejohn; City Clerk; City Attorney; and City Treasurer. Absent: Councilman Taylor. The Council proceeded with.the canvass of the returns of the General Municipal Election held on April 10, 1956 in the City of Baldwin Park. Upon the completion of the canvass the results of the election were included in a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON APRIL 10, 1956." Councilman Duskin moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Bloxham. It was then passed and adopted by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Bloxham, Cole, Duskin and Littlejohn. NOES: None ABSENT: Councilman Taylor. Resolution No._ publishing the results of the election. The results of the election having been determined and the Administering of council having finished its business, the City Clerk pro- office to newly ceeded with the. installation of the newly elected officers. elected officials Albert H. Miller, Judge of the Municipal Court of the Citrus Judicial District administering the oath of office to City Clerk Elect Elmer Cook, and the City Clerk admin- istering the oath of office to Councilmen Elect Hub. H. Bloxham, Earle B. Duskin, and Timinado Scovotti and to City Treasurer Elect Eva Elder Pugh. The City Clerk then proceeded with the election of a Mayor Hub. H. Bloxham Mayor. Hub. H. Bloxham was elected by a majority vote. Elected. Mayor Bloxham assumed his seat and proceeded with the Election of Mayor election of a Mayor Pro Tempore, Henry J. Littlejohn Pro Tempore being elected by a majority vote. Henry J. Littlejohn Moved by Councilman Cole, seconded by Councilman Duskin and unanimously carried, that the meeting be adjourned. Adjournment: 9:00 P.M. The foregoing minutes approved by the City Council 1956.
