The City Council of the ity of Baldwin Park met in adjourned session at the above place at 9:15 P.M. Mayor Bloxham led the salute to the Flag. Flag Salute ROLL CALL: Present: Councilman Cole,Duskin,Littiejohn ROLL CALL Scovotti, Bloxham; City Clerk; City Attorney; City Engineer. Absent: City Treasurer. Letter State Division of Highways, dated June 13, 1956, re completion of construction of San Bernardino Freeway. To be filed. Letter from Baldwin Park Chamber of Commerce dated June 13, 1956 requesting action of City council to provide interurban bus stop at the intersection of Baldwin Park Boulevard and San Bernardino Freeway. Moved by Councilman Littlejohn, seconded by Mayor Bloxham, and unanimously carried, that the City Administrator write the Division of Highways in reference to establishing a bus stop at the intersection of Baldwin Park Boulevard and San Bernardino Freeway. Letter of June 15, 1956, from Chief Administrative officer of Los Wiles County Subject: Termination of aw enforce- ment services of the Sheriff for the City of Baldwin Park effective July 1, 1956." Moved by Councilman Cole, seconded by Councilman Scovotti, and unanimously carried, that the City Administrator prepare a letter to the Board of Supervisors stating that it is agreeable to the City of Baldwin Park that the L.A. Co. Sheriff discontinue enforcement of local city ordinances effecitve at midnight b-3U-56, However, we feel that we have no authority to terminate their enforcement of State Statutes. The City Clerk presented financial statement for the month of Nay, 1956. Moved by Councilman Duskin, seconded by Councilman Cole, and unanimously carried, that the financial statement be accepted. The City Administrator requested authority to purchase one 13" carriage Royal Typewriter for the Police Depart- ment. Moved by Councilman Duskin, seconded by Councilman Scovotti, and unanimously carried, that authority be granted to pur- chase one i3" typewriter for the Police Dept. The City Administrator requested the Council's decision on the amount of collision insurance to carry on the 5 city-awned police cars. Mr. Elvin Baer spoke regarding rates to be charged for various coverages on the police cars. Moved by Councilman Scovotti, seconded by Councilman Cole, and unanimously carried, that insurance of $100.00 deductible collision and comprehensive be carried on city-owned police cars. BALDWIN PARK ESTABLISHING SPECIFICATIONS AND Specifications and STANDARDS AS TO COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL DRIVE- Standards as to WAYS." Commercial & Resi- dential Driveways. Moved by Councilman Duskin, seconded by Councilman Scovotti, Adopted. that the resolution be approved and adopted. It was adopted by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Cole, Duskin, Littlejohn, Scovotti and Bloxham. NOES: None ABSENT: None The City Administrator presented a resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK ADOPTING BUDGET AND APPROVING MEMO- RANIXJN OF AGREEMENT FOR EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS ALLOCATED UNIER SECTION 2107.5 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE." Moved by Councilmen Cole, seconded by Councilman Scovotti, that the resolution be approved and adopted. It was adopted by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Cole, 1uskin, Littlejohn, Scovotti and Bloxham. NOES: None ABSENT: None Case No. 25 request of Midget Carter for lot split at 3845 N. Vineland Avenue, covered by Planning Commission Res. No. 35, was presented. Moved by Councilman Scovotti, seconded by Councilman Cole, and unanimously carried, that lot split case No. 25 be approved, subject to the conditions imposed by the Planning Commission in Resolution No. 35. Case No. 29 request of Tom Moore for lot split on Olive Street, covered by Planning Commission Res. No. 36, was presented. Mr. Tom Moore appeared in his own behalf. Moved by Mayor Bloxham, seconded by Councilman Scovotti, and unanimously carried, that lot split Case No. 29 be re- turned to the Planning Commission for reconsideration. Case No. 39 Request of Edwin Quient for lot split at 3917 Bresee Street, covered by Planning Commission Res. No. 37 was presented. Moved by Councilman Cole, seconded by Councilman Scovotti, and unanimously carried, that lot split Case No, 39 be approved subject to the conditions imposed by the Planning Commission's Resolution No. 37. After Discussion the second was withdrawn and the motion was withdrawn. Moved by Councilman Littlejohn, seconded by Councilman Cole, and unanimously carried, that this matter be tabled until the next regular meeting of the Council on July 2, 1956. Moved by Councilman Cole, seconded by Councilman Scovotti, and unanimously carried, that lot split Case No. 34 be approved subject to the conditions imposed by Rimming Commission Resolution No. 39. Case No. 35, request of William Tack for lot split and re- location at N. Walnut Avenue, covered by Planning Commis- sion Res. No. 40, was presented. Mr. Tack appeared in his own behalf. Moved by Councilman Duskin, seconded by Councilman Littlejohn, and unanimously carried, that lot split case No. 35 be approved subject to the conditions imposed by Planning Commission Res. No. 40. Presented by Councilman Duskin, seconded by Councilman Scovotti, and unanimously carried, that lot split case No. 32 be sent back to the Planning Commission because of faulty lot lines and because it adversely affects the proposed street design in Baldwin Park. Planning Resolution No. 42, requesting an aerial photo- graph of the City for use by the Planning Commission, was presented.
