City Clerk announced that it w,s time for public hearing re adoption of a Building Code for the City of Baldwin Park by reference and stated that notice of such hearing was published in the Baldidn Park Bulletin on July 5 and 12, 1956, as required by law. There were no persons appearing in favor of or opposed to this ordinance, and the hearing was declared closed. Moved by Councilman Cole, seconded by Haver Bloxham,and unanimously carried, that license be granted, with waiver of fee. Report on Building Permits for quarter ending 6-30-56. To file. Application for Charity Solicitation License, Covina Civic Light Opera Association to raise funds. Moved by Councilman Scovotti, seconded by Councilman Littlejohn, and unanimously carried, that license be granted, with waiver of fee. Burton Heiligers, 3779 N. Foster, Baldwin Park, request- ing permission to maintain approximately 15 dogs on property located at 3779 N. Foster Avenue, Baldwin Park for a period of from 60 to 90 days from date of request. This request necessitated by citation for operation of illegal kennel. Moved by Councilman Littlejohn,seconded by Councilman Durkin, and unanimously carried, that the matter be tabled for further investigation. Recommendation by Chief of Police Syhre for stop sign controlling north and south bound traffic on Mangum at Waco Street intersection. Moved by Councilman Scovotti, seconded by Councilman Littlejohn, and unanimously carried, that the reoommwnda- tions of Chief Syhre for stop signs at MwNp m and Waco Streets be approved. Uniform Building Code Ordinance Final Reading. Passed. Application for Charity Solicita- tion License Friendship Mariners Club. Granted with waiver of fee.
