The City Attorney stated he had had an interview with Mr. Angelo Baldwin, attorney for Officer George Cairns, and it was suggested that a motion be made by the Council authorizing the City Administrator to reinstate officer Cairns and to accept the resignation of Officer Cairns; provided that the form of reinstatement and form of resignation be in form approved by the City Attorney, and the effective date of reinstatement and effective date of resignation to be up to the City Administrator in his order. Mr. Baldwin stated to the Council that it would be satis- factory for the resignation to be effective as of Megr 25, 1957 and that no further compensation would accrue to Mr. Cairns.
