A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BALDWIN PARK ADOPTING THE UPDATED LANDSCAPE
DESIGN MANUAL TO BE CONSISTENT WITH THE
GOVERNOR'S EXECUTIVE ORDER B-29-15 (APPLICANT:
CITY OF BALDWIN PARK; LOCATION: CITYWIDE; CASE
NUMBER: DRG 15-01)
WHEREAS, in response with the Governor's Executive Order B-29-15
issued on April 1, 2015, the City initiated changes to Subchapter 153.160, entitled
Water Efficient Landscaping Standards.
WHEREAS, in addition to the changes required to the City's Municipal
Code, the City of Baldwin Park Landscape Design Manual needed to be reviewed for
consistency in accordance with the Governor's Executive Order B-29-15.
WHEREAS, based on oral testimony and documentary evidence during
the duly noticed public hearing on September 9, 2015, the Planning Commission
Adopted Resolution PC 15-10 recommending the City Council adopt the updated City
of Baldwin Park Landscape Design Manual.
WHEREAS, the City Council conducted a duly noticed public hearing on
• October 21, 2015 to receive comments and consider the amendments to the City of
Baldwin Park Landscape Design Manual.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN
PARK DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The recitals above are true and correct and are incorporated
herein by this reference.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the
project is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act, pursuant to Section
15061 (b) (3) of Chapter 3 Title 14 and is Categorically Exempt.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution
and forward a copy hereof to the Planning Commission Secretary.
