A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING APPLYING FOR AN ENERGY EFFICIENCY LOAN FROM THE CALIFORNIA ENERGY
COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City Council is interested in pursuing capital improvement projects that
will make the City facilities more energy efficient; and
WHEREAS, the California Energy Commission provides loans to schools, hospitals, local
governments, special districts, and public care institutions to finance energy efficiency
improvements.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BALDWIN PARK DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.That City Council authorizes the City of Baldwin Park to apply for energy
efficiency loan from the California Energy Commission to implement energy efficiency
measures; and
• SECTION 2. That in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA),
the City Council finds that the activities to be funded by the loan are exempt under Public
Resources Code Section 21080.35; and
SECTION 3. That the amount of the loan will be paid in full, plus 1% (one-percent)
interest, under the terms and conditions of the Loan Agreement, Promissory Note and Tax
Certificate of the California Energy Commission; and
SECTION 4. That the Chief Executive Officer is hereby authorized and empowered to
execute in the name of City of Baldwin Park all necessary documents to implement and carry
out the purpose of this resolution, and to undertake all actions necessary to undertake and
complete the energy efficiency projects.
