AND SPECIAL MEETING

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m. by Mayor Lozano.

Mayor Lozano opened Public Communications at 6:02 p.m.
Seeing no one wishing to speak, Public Communications closed at 6:02 p.m.

1. EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER ACTIVATION
Presentation by staff of current procedures for activation of the Emergency Operations
Center; consideration of designation of duties and responsibilities associated with
emergency response.
Emergency Operations Officer Daniel Rodriguez provided a narrative presentation to
Council and identified those authorities that are called upon to respond in the event of
civic emergencies and the relationship between various agencies as to how responses
are orchestrated and responsibilities are assigned.
2. USED CAR DEALERSHIP CODE AMENDMENT
Consideration to allowing used car dealer within the Freeway Commercial (FC) Zoning
District for a proposed facility at 14550 Garvey Ave.
City Planner Harbin provided a narrative overview on a list of potential conditions that
may be considered in amending the municipal code and zoning to accommodate used
car dealerships in the subject area.
Council directed staff to do further research and provide some hypothetical information
to give them a visual idea of how the potential conditions would translate.
Council recessed to Closed Session at 6:38 p.m.

There being no further business, motion was made by Lozano, seconded by Baca, to adjourn
the meeting at 7:10 p.m.
REPORT ON CLOSED SESSION
Mayor Lozano reported that, by unanimous vote, Council approved the settlement of Wilson v
City of Baldwin Park, and directed the City Attorney to finalize the n- essary documents. No
