Council Chambers) Adjourned Regular Meeting The City Council of the, City of Baldwin Park met in ad- journed regular session at the above place at 7:30 P.M. The Chief Administrative Officer led the salute to the flag. Flag Salute ROLL CALL: Present: Councilmen Bishop, Holmes, Littlejohn, Roll Call Stephens and Cole; City Clerk, City Attorney; Chief Administrative Officer. Absent: City Treasurer. This motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Bishop, Holmes, Littlejohn, Stephens and Cole. Moved by Councilman Bishop, and seconded by Councilman Stephens, that the City Council approve the expenditure of $222.80 for the room specified for the purpose of telephone switchboard facilities. This motion carried by the follow- ing vote: AIES: Councilmen Bishop, Holmes, Littlejohn, Stephens and Cole. NOES: None ABSENT: None Request for waiver of requirements of installation of curb, gutter and sidewalks at 4144 N. Walnut, the Allen property. Moved by Councilman Stephens, and seconded by Councilman Holmes, that the curb, gutter and sidewalk requirements at LIi.4 North Walnut, the Allen property, be waived. This motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Bishop, Holmes, Littlejohn, Stephens and Cole. Zoning Case No. 31, Leslie Watkins, et al. Mr. Phillip Kerr, 3228 North Maine Avenue, Baldwin Park, came forward to speak on the matter. Mrs. Irene W. Miller, 1-3703 F rancisquito Avenue, Baldwin Park, came forward to speak, and stated she did not want R-3 zoning, but would like C-l, for her property. Mr. Leslie Watkins, 13726 F rancisquito Avenue, came forward to speak on the matterm and stated that he felt property on Francisquito now zoned R-3 on the proposed map would be best suited to C-l. Zoning Case No. Z-31 Leslie Watkins, et al. City Attorney to give complete clarifi- cation of this zone case to Council at next meeting. City Attorney to give written ruling on attempt to get lesser zoning. Mr. Ward Toner, 13727 Francisquito Avenue, came forward to speak. Request for change Mr. Ernest C. Councilman Stephens requested that the City Attorney bring a complete clarification of this zone case to the City Council at its next meeting. Mr. Tronaas of the Planning Commission requested a written ruling from the City Attorney on the attempt to get a lesser zoning, stating that City Attorney Judge said they couldn't do it, and the City Attorney Ferguson stated that they could. This ruling to be given at next regular meeting. Moved by Councilman Holmes, and seconded by Councilman Stephens, that the City Council deny the application for change of zone, in accordance with Planning Commission Resolution No. 238. This motion-carried by the following vote AYES: Councilmen Bishop, Holmes, Littlejohn, Stephens and Cole. NOES: None ABSENT: None Moved by Councilman Holmes, seconded by Councilman Littlejohn, that the Planning Director be instructed to accept applica- tions for change of zone in the areas requested to be changed, which are encompassed in the areas of both of the two maps, without the requirement of an additional fee. This motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Bishop, Holmes, Littlejohn, Stephens and Cole. NOES None ABSENT: None Councilman Stephens announced a meeting Tuesday morning, May 27th, at 10:30 A.M. with a reporter from the Pasadena Star News in front of Cole's Market, regarding the storm drain matter. Moved by Councilman Holmes, seconded by Councilman Stephens, Adjournment. and unanimously carried, that the meeting adjourn. Adjournment at 10:00 P.M.
